Vintage Vespa Operating Tips

Vintage Vespa Operating Instruction

Starting

When you starting up your vintage vespa in the morning (when the engine in cold condition) you can pull up the choke, on the other hand (when the engine in warm condition) don't use the choke. As soon as the engine is running smoothly, bring the choke control back to the normal position.

Setting the Scooters in Motion

With the engine running at idling speed declutch and rotate the gear change twist grip and select first gear. For setting the vehicle in motion slowly, let in the clutch and gradually open the throttle.

Gear Change

Close the throttle, declutch and select the higher or lower gear. When it is necessary to decelerate don't hesitate changing down.

Stopping the Engine

Before stopping the engine change your vintage vespa gear to neutral and then operate the cut-out button on the switch unit.
